This is the 1st time I have ever purchased a RHR product and in the past I have always been put off by the higher purchase price, but have recently had some extra money to spare and I needed a sturdy new cat tree for my kitten who loves climb and he's a bit like a tornado when jumps and climbs everything....including my curtains. I also wanted something to fit in the corner by my patio doors, but was also sturdy and secure. The Cat Tree Corner Coon arrived in a set of 3 boxes, very well designed and packaged. Everything arrived safely unlike in the past with some of the previous "cheap" cat trees I have purchased online from other manufacturers which have arrived with damaged posts. It was immediately clear on unpacking that you could see the excellent quality of the parts and I was a little surprised how big the hammocks were, but then this is designed for Maine Coons not that I have ever had one, but as a 3 cat household I wanted something that was sturdy enough to accommodate all 3 cats including a rather boisterous 4mth old kitten. The instructions were fairly easy to follow although I found some of the diagrams a bit small so it took a bit of checking and re-checking. Also I noticed a previous reviewer had suggested having a tape measure handy as some of the sisal posts only varied by half a cm and as the posts were not labelled this did help in ensuring you were using the correct post. It was fairly quick to assemble, my kitten trying to get on it whilst I was in the middle of assembling it. Once assembled it was very obvious the high quality of the assembled cat tree, with the extra thick (almost double that of a regular cat tree) weighted base, the assembled product was very sturdy and I like the padded cushions that can be easily removed for cleaning. Yes it is a very expensive cat tree compared to most others available on other websites but you are getting exactly what you have paid for...a quality, sturdy, well made product that will last years and is definitely worth every extra penny paid. I also like the fact that RHR also can provide replacement parts for their cat tree products, although I think it will be a while before being needed! I wish I had purchased of one of these years ago!
